On our Seven Churches of Revelation Tour, we take you deep into the heart of this sacred geography. As you walk through the remnants of these ancient cities, you’ll uncover the powerful messages addressed to each church and understand how these early congregations shaped the course of Christianity. This journey isn’t just about ruins—it’s about context, prophecy, and the human spirit.
Along the way, we also visit other key historical and biblical landmarks that provide a fuller picture of the region’s spiritual and cultural depth. It’s a thoughtfully curated experience where archaeology meets theology, and where your footsteps echo with the voices of history.

Itinerary
Your trip begins with a morning pick-up from Izmir Airport, Izmir City, Selcuk, or Kusadasi. First, we'll visit the Church of Izmir (Smyrna) to learn about its history and importance among the Seven Churches of Revelation. After that, we'll head to Pergamum, an ancient city with many historical sites. We'll drive back to Izmir and overnight in Izmir.

After breakfast, we'll drive to Thyateira, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. From there, we'll visit Sardis to explore its fascinating ancient ruins. Afterward, we'll visit Philadelphia, another key church site. Our las stop is Pamukkale, famous for its stunning white terraces and the historic city of Hierapolis. You'll have the chance to explore the Hierapolis Ancient City and relax in the thermal springs of Pamukkale. We will drive you to your hotel at the end of the tour. Overnight in Pamukkale.

After breakfast, we will check out and visit Laodicea Ancient City. It is a wealthy ancient city and one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. After exploring its historical ruins, we'll drive to Selcuk. In the afternoon, we'll visit Ephesus Ancient City, one of the best-preserved ancient cities, where you can stroll along Marble Street, admire the Grand Theatre, and visit the iconic Library of Celsus. We'll also stop at the Basilica of St. John, believed to be the burial site of the Apostle John and Virgin Mary's House, the humble stone house where she lived the last years of her life. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at İzmir Airport for your flight back to Istanbul.

We met Huseyin, our guide on arrival at Izmir airport and had the day with him to see Ephesus. We had such a lovely time with Huseyin, learning about the region and its sights He took very good care of us, away from the crowds and was very friendly yet professional.
Huseyin took us to a very quaint and cute local restaurant for lunch which was peaceful and had excellent local Anatolian food.
Ephesus was a huge awe inspiring site definitely worth visiting.

Awesome Ephesus
Ephesus tour was a wonderful experience of rich History and Beautiful place .The Children really enjoyed the place and with our Excellent Tour guide Huseyin giving us a perfect History lesson.The Ephesus Theatre experience in the end was an icing on the cake.

Seven churche , Pamukkale. A group of 5 ladies
We did The seven churches and Pamukkale. Guftee was our tour lady. She was patient, knowledgeable, attentive, caring and much more. I believe she does mix groups but, if is a group of ladies , she’s your girl.
Ogun was our driver. He also was caring attentive toward us. He kept cold water bottles in a cooler for us at all time. Overall, puerto agency is your travel agency.

Everything was more than we imagined and we knew it will be beautiful but still, it exceeded all expectations in actual reality 😊
The tour driver and our guide, Betul(betty), were easy to talk to and betul was informative of the ancient history and about her country, Turkey. She added some side stories such as how one local desert came about and also helped us with the shopping locations when our tour ended.
The tour company was very responsive right from the start, very helpful and patient with us that we felt safe right away even before the trip started. Definitely going back to Turkey and getting the other tours from Puerto Travels.

An Archeological Tour
We asked Puerto Travel to design a tour which had(in my opinion) the most important archeological sites. This would include Mt. Nemrut, Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe. I also wanted to visit Ankara and Istanbul. The trip worked very well. I was picked at the programmed time, and we(my wife and I) were able to see all the sites. They were very attentive to the needs of my wife, who has mobility probems. Additionally, they chose guides who were very knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited. In summary, they were able to taylor our trip to the requirements we put forth, booking the appropriate flights in order to insure that we could make the most out of the limited time we had.This is our second time using this tour company and I would contract them again in a heartbeat.

Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi
Great way to see Ephesus and other historical sights in comfort
We highly recommend taking this tour if you want to see historical sights from Kusadasi. We were picked up from our hotel in a modern air/conditioned minivan with a driver and guide and were happy to find we were the only ones so it was like a private tour! We visited the Virgin Mary House, the incredible city of Ephesus, Library of Celcus and the Temple of Artemis. We also stopped at a traditional pottery making place that was very interesting. We had time for a delicious lunch so in total it was about 6 hours, plenty of time. Our guide Huseyin was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the places we visited and took great photos of us in each location. It was a lovely hassle free way to see the ancient sights in comfort and style.

If I could give Gufte more than 5 stars I would! Gufte is a very knowledgeable guide whose pride in modern Türkiye, its many faceted culture & ancient histories made touring a relaxing & stress free experience. Personable & with good humour, Gufte’s warm & truly friendly personality made us at ease & happy to spend two days touring with her. For Gufte nothing was too much trouble or not open for discussion. A highly recommended guide with an excellent driver!
